FELDENKRAIS®
AWARENESS THROUGH MOVEMENT
Give yourself time to slow down... follow your curiosity...
move with ease... affect change.
In these classes you will be guided through verbal instruction. The movements which are slow, gentle and repetitive are designed to increase your awareness of yourself as you focus on different parts of your body, and how each connects to your entire self. New sensations and possibilities arise as you come away with a feeling of well being and change.
Feldenkrais can increase range of motion, flexibility, balance, posture, efficiency of movement and coordination. It improves everyday function as well as the more refined activities such as dance, yoga, and sports.

Recent New York Times article:
"After two hourlong sessions focused first on body awareness and then on movement retraining at the Feldenkrais Institute of New York, I understood what it meant to experience an incredible lightness of being. Having, temporarily at least, released the muscle tension that aggravates my back and hip pain, I felt like I was walking on air." (...Read full article.)
